Description

We are talking about one of the oldest legumes ever grown.

Small and colorful, tasty and flavorful, organic lentils are a perfect protein, iron and fiber supplement, which earned them the nickname “poor man’s meat” and also made them ideal for supplementing a vegetarian diet.

They do not need to be soaked and their cooking time is about 30 minutes in order to obtain lentils that are tender, digestible and rich in flavor. The most classic dish to have stewed lentils with can be found on New Year’s Eve combined with pig’s trotter or cotechino, but you can also use them to make – in addition to legume thick soups and vegetable soups – fancy dishes such as lentil meatballs or lentil cream.

Sourced from our in-house certified organic supply chain

Our entire organic supply chain is based in the green hills of the Umbrian Apennines, but above all it is an exclusively in-house supply chain. It means we have full quality control of every stage of production, from sowing to harvesting, from milling to packaging.

This is an additional guarantee to the traditional values already inherent in organic farming: no chemical treatments, no food improvers or preservatives, respect for the land and for the safety and wholesomeness of the food produced.
